I grew up in Aberdeenshire, before moving into the granite city to study Textiles. After graduating I got stuck into a career within hospitality, before I felt the need for change a few years later. I settled on working in the outdoors where I have been for the last 4 years, freelancing and training at Glenmore Lodge.
In recent years I co-founded the Wavy Wahines, a female surf group and have been heavily involved in Granite Girls, a women's climbing group, both based in Aberdeen. I am really passionate about showing other women that they have a place within the outdoors. The main reasons for me instructing is that I get to show people how beautiful, full of history, interesting and accessible the outdoors can be.
