Àban - Adventure Learning Community

Àban is an independent Scottish charity and a thriving social enterprise. We help get you out on positive adventures right on your doorstep. When you book an activity with us, every penny raised goes to support our charitable work in Inverness.

We offer positive outdoor adventures for young people and families. Our doors are open to all and no previous experience is required.

We run Scotland's only independent DofE Open Award group, a range of free-to-access outdoor youth groups (swimming, biking, hillwalking & climbing) and an outdoor group for young carers.

We offer a range of commercial activities, running alongside and supporting our charitable work. These activities follow the same core principle of positive local adventures. Made up of Duke of Edinburgh's Award provision, Highland Rock Trips, private guiding, and Holiday Camps, there's something for everyone!
