Nele AdlerOutdoor Programme Leader
Born and raised in Germany and having lived in Scandinavia as a young adult, I have always been fascinated by rugged landscapes and working with people to help them to reconnect to the natural world. After an initial apprenticeship in carpentry, I became a nature educator and have since gained several outdoor leadership awards. I hold over 10 years’ experience of working with a wide variety of age groups and settings in the outdoors. In our fast paced and highly technological world, I believe it is crucial to make space for outdoor time and to connect with others in real life, away from screens and monitors. I am very excited to bring the Adventurous Learning pedagogy to life at Àban and to share my passion for the natural world with the next generation.
