Emily BowieOutdoor Leader
Originally from the Trossachs, my love for the outdoors has seen me make the move to the Highlands in April this year to be closer to the hills. Whilst studying Psychology in Edinburgh, I became interested in the psychological benefits of spending time in the outdoors. I am passionate about breaking down barriers to participation in the outdoors, particularly amongst at-risk and excluded communities who could most benefit both psychologically and physiologically. I work for an organisation called Mhor Outdoor, where I lead projects which aim to increase knowledge and skills around hill-walking amongst the refugee/asylum seeker and LGBTI+ communities.
