Àban Outdoor Charity Shop

We are excited to launch our Outdoor Charity shop, where we get more people outdoors using good-quality used kit, reducing the cost both to you and the environment. Because at the end of the day, everybody should get to experience what the outdoors has to offer.

Here at Àban, we have always done things a little differently to others. We believe that everyone from every background should be given the same opportunity to enjoy the outdoor spaces we have so close to home. When we created our Outdoor Gear Library, this goal was at the forefront when lending outdoor kit to those who may not have kit of their own.

Our Outdoor Charity Shop came from that same concept, to reduce the barrier to entry that comes with many outdoor activities. 'Real Adventures don't Cost the Earth', and we only sell good quality second-hand clothing & equipment, helping to break the cycle of non-stop consumer culture.

We take good quality used kit donated to us, and re-sell to help get people outdoors. We welcome all sorts of outdoor kit, from mountain biking to watersports, and snow sports to climbing. As is the same with everything Àban does, all money raised goes straight into funding our charitable work here in Inverness.

Where to Donate

Kit can be donated to us by drop-off at our office in Merkinch, Inverness. We are always here, 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, so please do drop by and drop off your kit. Who knows, we may even have some kit that takes your fancy!
