What kind of things will we be doing?

Each block is different. In the Winter months we climb indoors at The Ledge. You'll learn social skills, bouldering & climbing techniques, how to keep a partner safe using ropes. In the Spring and Summer blocks we go outdoors, either hillwalking or rock climbing. On the hill days you'll learn about navigation skills, keeping the group safe and more about the environments we are exploring. During an rock-climbing block you learn how to climb outdoors, learn new climbing skills and improve your overall fitness. You'll be able to put all your new skills into practice during the weekend away at the end of the block.

What do I need to bring?

Please wear comfortable sports clothes and bring along lunch, snacks and plenty of water. We have waterproofs, warm clothes, boots and climbing kit available in the Gear Library to borrow free of charge, just let the leaders know.

What if I don't know anyone?

You'll be joining a really friendly group. Lots of participants start out not knowing anyone, and leave with new friends.
