What's It All About?
The Àban Mountaineering Club (ÀMC) is our weekly mountaineering club for South Kessock/Merkinch and surrounding Inverness teens. In the Spring and Summer months we aim to walk and climb outdoors, during the Winter sessions will take place at The Ledge climbing wall. No experience is required. We welcome all abilities.
How do I get Involved?
The application for Winter 2025 (Block 1) with focus on Indoor Climbing is open. Please click here to fill in the form. After we receive your application we will be in touch to confirm whether or not your child has been allocated a place for the next block.

All Friday sessions are from 2-4pm and the expedition will take place on Saturday and Sunday 22nd/23rd of March.
We are opening this block to 12 participants.
What Will You Learn?
With our professional & experienced outdoor leaders, you will learn basic rock climbing, bouldering and rope skills. You'll also get to know other likeminded teenagers who attend the sessions together with you.
What's the Age Range?
This club is aimed at teenagers aged 13-18.
How Much Does it Cost?
Each session costs only £1. As always, we welcome donations if you are able to do so.
What do I need to Bring?
Please wear comfortable sports clothes. You can also bring your own snacks and plenty of water.
Where and when do we Meet?
We meet each Friday, 2 - 4pm at The Ledge Climbing Centre.
