My working background is in accounting and finance. I spent around 30 years advising Highlands based family businesses. I've escaped that and am now enjoying a slower pace of life!
I'm a father of 3 young adults and live on the shores of Loch Broom in Wester Ross with my wife Maree. I love being outdoors whether that's cycling, running (slowly!) or walking our dog in amongst the amazing countryside on our doorstep.
I'm now doing a bit of consultancy work and am involved with a number of charities and organisations that make positive impacts on society including young people's mental health, poverty alleviation and community ownership.
I'm passionate about promoting and enabling everyone access to be able to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of exercising outdoors!
